We love chewing gum and greatly appreciate the enormous potential that something as small as chewing gum can offer us. Our ancestors knew this, which is why we have been chewing gum for 9,000 years and will continue to do so. Chewing gum is evolving, and so are we. That is why we are introducing a new concept (a new trend) that has not been on the market until now – healthy chewing gum.

We bring you chewing gum that meets our minimum quality standards. With us, you will always chew gum without plastic materials, unnecessary harmful chemicals, sugar, gluten, aspartame, or other poor-quality synthetic substances (e.g., harmful synthetic sweeteners, colors, preservatives, humectants, flavor enhancers), which, in our opinion, have no place in chewing gum.
We do not repackage our products. We value manufacturers who bring their know-how to the table. We are not fans of repackaging. You will find our products in our e-shop in their original packaging and with the manufacturer’s name displayed. These are our basic pillars—original product, original packaging, and recognition for the manufacturer (its visibility).

2016 – Present
It started with an idea in 2015-2016. At that time, I found out that my daughter had been diagnosed with celiac disease. Since then, my wife and I have been forced to start reading the labels on all foods. I was literally shocked by what commonly available foods, but also chewing gum, contained. That didn’t sit well with me. I had to do something. I wrote the first article about healthy chewing without E numbers (without aspartame). With this article, I wanted to draw the attention of other parents and consumers to this topic. In the article, I also mentioned existing healthier alternatives – chewing gum that is available on the market and is free of aspartame.
It didn’t end with the first article. In 2017, I wrote a second article about healthy chewing without aspartame and sorbitol. I think this also influenced the articles that began to appear in the Czech environment at that time. I can agree with some of them, but others are just inflammatory without balanced arguments. In particular, I cannot agree with articles that only disparage chewing gum. Yes, chewing gum can be labeled “toxic,” but not all of it, and it is important to say that there are also healthy alternatives.
I became increasingly active in this topic and looked for other options. Even the healthy alternatives were not healthy enough from my point of view. The gum did not contain aspartame, but instead contained other artificial sweeteners such as sorbitol, maltitol, mannitol, and other harmful substances, which, according to the objective review website ferpotravina.cz, also had their limitations. I imagined gum that would be free of harmful chemicals. I found mastic gum or resin gum, but honestly, they weren’t good at all 🙁 Nowadays, they taste better and their health ratings are very interesting.
In 2024, I realized that most commonly available chewing gums are made from plastic materials. Consumers are unaware of this because manufacturers can hide it under the ingredient “gum base/chewing gum base/and other nuances.” Consumers are therefore unaware of this and are not informed about it at all. This was something I had no idea about for years, even though I was directly involved with chewing gum. In my opinion, the secret hidden in this ingredient violates many of the European Union’s legislative requirements. And so another parameter was created – to look for chewing gum that does not contain plastic materials. Our entire chewing gum portfolio does not contain plastic materials (according to our manufacturers). For us, this is a fundamental pillar of raw material quality.

Misleading Marketing on the Czech Market
1) Xylitol Chewing Gum
Some chewing gums on our and European markets are called xylitol chewing gums. In reality, they contain, for example, 5% xylitol, with the rest sweetened with cheap synthetic sweeteners (sorbitol, maltitol, mannitol), which is misleading. What’s wrong with that?
We believe that chewing gum should contain only xylitol (exclusively) or a combination of other natural sweeteners without undesirable effects, such as stevia. However, if chewing gum contains a mix of “cheap and lower-quality sweeteners” such as sorbitol, maltitol, and mannitol, we consider it to be of lower quality and less healthy.
2) Natural Chewing Gum or Chewing Gum with a Natural Gum Base
We would like to draw attention to chewing gum that is incorrectly labeled as “natural” on the Czech and European markets. In reality, however, it is not natural. Its gum base is not of natural origin. If chewing gum contains an ingredient labeled as “gum base”, it means that it is made from materials containing synthetic components and plastic materials. In such cases, it cannot be labeled as “natural” because the essence of the gum is not natural. Nevertheless, many e-shops in the Czech Republic state that these gums have a “natural gum base,” which is misleading and ultimately a false claim. We have absolutely nothing against these chewing gums being on the market. I just believe that customers should be given accurate information about them.
Update 11/2025 – I have found that some manufacturers have stopped listing the ingredient “rubber base” altogether. In my view, this is deliberate and misleading, as the customer then does not know what the chewing gum is made of. They are unable to objectively evaluate what they are buying. In the past, they provided this information and explained that the gum base is inert, which is contradicted by a recent study published in early November 2025. Chewing gum dissolves when chewed, whether it is gum with a gum base containing plastic materials, gum without plastic materials, or gum with a natural gum base. It does not matter whether it is made from plastic materials or natural materials.
And why am I writing this here? I do not like this misleading (false) marketing approach. It deceives sellers and deceives customers. We recommend always checking the composition of chewing gum on the manufacturers’ websites. If it says that it has a “rubber base” or, conversely, does not mention the base of the chewing gum at all, be aware that it is usually chewing gum with a synthetic rubber base, i.e., with plastic materials.
2018-21
I had a clear idea: I wanted to ensure that healthy chewing gum was available on the Czech market. But not chewing gum that only pretends to be healthy! Real chewing gum without harmful chemicals (in 2024, I also wanted it to be free of plastic materials—i.e., without the ingredient “rubber base” or with information from the manufacturer that the gum base does not contain plastic materials) or the purest version of natural gum without harmful chemicals (e.g., with a natural gum base – chicle from the sapodilla tree).
Chewing gum that could bring us all its full potential. That is, so that we can take advantage of all its health benefits – both physical and mental – and even so that its composition is free of substances harmful to health. Basically, a return to the original recipes from before World War II. I did some analysis and looked at the possibilities.
2022 – 2024
In 2022, I purchased CZ domains and began working with Jarda. I decided to start building an e-shop for the Czech Republic. I was lucky to find the right people and connect with them. They helped me shape my thoughts and ideas, which is probably why I also purchased an international domain that same year and started working with Jarda to redesign the website to make it more accessible to our European neighbors.
I had no idea how much work it would be. I still feel like I’m at the beginning. And I am. The website and e-shop are up and running (products listed), but there is still room for improvement. Now we are looking forward to building business relationships and long-term cooperation, which we enjoy and find exciting. We welcome any suggestions you may have. And what can we offer you? What products? What products? Healthy chewing gum that meets our uncompromising basic principles in terms of quality and health?
2025 – End of cooperation with Honest Gum / Start of cooperation with Swedish manufacturer The Humble Co.
Unfortunately, I had to say goodbye to our first manufacturer from Australia, Honest Gum. It was impossible to agree on more reasonable logistics with them. We don’t want to add unnecessary CO2 to the atmosphere. Unfortunately, the manufacturer did not seek a solution to avoid unnecessary logistics routes from Europe to Australia and back, so we were forced to terminate the cooperation. We also had some requirements for the manufacturer in terms of quality (mainly based on feedback from our customers) – these were also completely ignored. All in all, we started looking for another manufacturer.
Every cloud has a silver lining. We have established a new partnership with Swedish manufacturer The Humble Co. Their chewing gum meets all our criteria, and the cooperation with them is excellent. We look forward to a long-term partnership.

Chewing Gum and Natural Chewing Gum
In the introduction, I mentioned that we love chewing gum. Yes, that’s right. That’s why we offer it in its purest form – without plastic materials, without aspartame, without harmful chemicals, without any controversial additives that don’t need to be in chewing gum. Instead of aspartame, our chewing gum contains the most suitable natural sweeteners, such as xylitol or stevia. Xylitol is considered by experts and the general public to be the best sweetener currently available. It can reduce the incidence of tooth decay by up to 40% without any side effects. That is why it is used in toothpastes and various mouthwashes.
