We like food made with love from quality ingredients (such as healthy chewing gum), but we also like any innovations related to dental hygiene. We want to share one of them with you. This is a manual toothbrush 2.0. The designation is intentional on our part – from our point of view, this is a new generation toothbrush (2nd generation) – Splash Brush. I came across this amazing Slovak invention completely by accident – although I don’t believe in coincidences. One of our customers, a dental hygienist, recommended it to me. She said that it was definitely worth trying this toothbrush. I did, and I couldn’t help but be amazed. From my point of view, this is an incredible feat by a Slovak dentist – the invention of a new type of toothbrush that currently has no competition on the market. Compared to commonly available toothbrushes, it has some improvements that naturally contribute to your teeth receiving maximum care in less time.
Splash Brush Manual Toothbrush
It’s actually about brushing your teeth properly so you don’t have to worry about your teeth. It’s simple. You don’t need any electrical device with rechargeable batteries. All you need is a suitable manual toothbrush and the right technique for brushing your teeth/interdental spaces.
But back to the point.
New generation toothbrush – Splash Brush
The new generation toothbrush was developed by Slovak dentist Dr. Jozef Šesták , MD, who over more than 40 years of practice has understood what bothers his patients and what could help them. As an expert, he saw that commonly available toothbrushes – even the more expensive and luxurious ones – do not have the perfect shape of the bristles and a properly designed grip. He understood the pain of the toothbrush and figured out how to improve it so that a bad grip and subsequent incorrect brushing of the teeth naturally do not occur.
The handle of commonly available first-generation toothbrushes is not that intuitive. The way you grip it is how you usually brush your teeth. If the handle of the toothbrush is poorly made, then you can basically brush your teeth a little worse. And that’s a shame.
Dentists and dentists have noticed the differences
According to the available information, this is not just my personal opinion. Many dentists and dental hygienists have noticed the differences between commonly available toothbrushes and the new second-generation toothbrush – the Splash Brush – and its design and effectiveness.
In my opinion, a rather small group of dentists and dental hygienists are open to new things and innovations and are happy to share their experiences. Their work is very time-consuming (there are few of them and many patients) and they are often fully dedicated to their patients. Moreover, devoting themselves to education in their personal free time is already far beyond the scope of their basic duties. This is just a small explanation why some new products may not yet appear commonly in practice.
A good dentist wants to lose his patient
It may sound strange, but a really good dentist or dental hygienist has one long-term goal – to ensure that their patient has as few problems with their teeth and gums as possible.
With quality dental hygiene, you will often find out during your first few visits that the specialist can get your teeth in good order from a hygiene perspective. But what comes next is even more important. They will recommend the right cleaning techniques and suitable tools for daily dental care.
If the patient truly follows these recommendations, it may gradually happen that the need for frequent visits decreases. Someone may then not need to go for a check-up every six months, but, for example, once a year – always depending on the individual condition of the teeth, of course. Or it may even go so far that the patient will not need to go to the dentist at all.
An important role is played by the willingness to accept new knowledge. Dental and gum care evolves over time. Cleaning techniques and the tools used change. Some people accept changes faster, others slower – and this can affect both patients and professionals.
If a new technique or device appears on the market that can significantly simplify or make dental care more effective, it makes sense to at least think about it and possibly try it out.
Electric toothbrush vs. manual toothbrush
Nowadays it is relativelyThere is a strong trend towards the use of electric toothbrushes. For many people, they represent a convenient and modern solution to dental care. Some studies even suggest that when used correctly, cleaning results can be comparable to, or in some cases even better than, regular manual toothbrushes.
However, I personally believe that for a large number of people, it is not necessary to purchase an electric toothbrush. It is a device that is usually significantly more expensive and its production and operation are associated with greater material and energy requirements than a classic toothbrush.
Nowadays, we generally tend to look for technical solutions for almost everything . Battery-powered electrical devices can make our lives easier in many situations, but in my opinion, that doesn’t mean they are always necessary. In the case of toothbrushes , a well-chosen manual toothbrush can be completely sufficient for many people – and at the same time easier both financially and environmentally.
Today’s society is often oriented towards convenience and consumption. That’s why I think it makes sense to sometimes think about whether we really need certain products, or whether there are simpler and more environmentally friendly alternatives – not only for our wallets, but also for the environment in which we live.
But the choice is always up to each of us. Each approach has its supporters and I respect that different people may prefer different solutions. I am just happy to offer my perspective.
The undeniable advantages of the Splash Brush | Brush 2.0
- The handle /holder is slightly angled for a natural 45° brushing angle, which is fantastic because you don’t have to think about it, the brush is automatically angled correctly. You then naturally hold the brush at the correct angle while brushing.
- Pyramid head – the brush head is not straight but tapered into a pyramid – this can help clean the back molars better and reach deeper into the corners of the mouth.
- Triangular rubberized bristles and their bevel at an angle of 45° is simply the perfect combination. The bristles then have a greater ability to scrape off dental plaque than a classic round fiber and at the same time should be gentler on the gums. The bristles can thus more easily penetrate into the gaps and mechanically remove plaque.
- The upper part of the bristles is made of a softer material , while the lower ones are made of a firmer one. This means that the Splas Brush takes care of more sensitive necks more carefully with its finer bristles.
- In my opinion, the shape of the bristles of the Splash Brush results in significantly more intensive cleaning of plaque , which is considered one of the biggest enemies of teeth. Plaque is one of the main causes of tooth decay.
- The price is a few crowns considering that the toothbrush lasts up to 6 months . Although I came across some warnings that you need to monitor the condition of the bristles and, if necessary, replace the toothbrush sooner.
- The environmental impact of the Splash Brush vs. an electric toothbrush is negligible. The entire brush is recyclable without batteries or cables.
- The toothbrush is made of high-quality material – the handle, bristles and bristle grip – all recyclable.
- In regular toothbrushes , the bristles are attached to the plastic head with metal clips – that’s why most toothbrushes are not recycled. Splash Brushes do not have these metal anchors (clips). The bristles are attached using a patented metal-free technology, which means less non-recyclable waste is generated. Thanks to this technology, there are also no micro-slots in the brush head where bacteria can stick. Which is beneficial for all of us.
Interdental spaces and interdental brushes
Although some experts state that Splash Brush has significantly higher efficiency in cleaning interdental spaces thanks to its triangular rubberized bristles, it is still ideal in my opinion to use a combination of this great 2nd generation brush (Splash Brush) with interdental brushes (or dental floss) when brushing your teeth. If I have to choose whether to use dental floss or an interdental brush – it is a clear choice. Interdental brushes are easier to use if you learn to handle them correctly. Since I have been using them, I have not had a single cavity.
Recommended choice for Splash Brush
There are several types of Splash Brush. I would say more than necessary. Many bristle hardnesses, single and double-headed, multiple colors. Personally, I don’t think it’s absolutely necessary to get the one with one head. For children and maybe for the exceptionally meticulous, you can get the smaller one if you see fit. But for 90% of people, I recommend 2 heads.

Hardness 120, 150, 170 – there is no need to worry too much from my point of view. Buy 150 and see if it suits you or not. Use it for at least 2 weeks and only then think about it, because it is a different type of brush. I know that the upper part of the bristles is significantly softer (and it is right, because the upper part goes to the more sensitive necks of the teeth) than the lower part, which touches rather larger surfaces of the teeth, where the harder bristles can be. The thing is that in the first few days it is a small habit, but within 1 week it will turn around and you will feel such a pleasant feeling that you have a super handy brush. It is great that you can get your hands on something like this. I am glad that someone has paid attention to the brush in such a way that, from my point of view, they have caught the flies that are on commonly available brushes.
Cleaning procedure according to the Bass method
It is very important to learn how to brush your teeth properly. No circular movements with the brush. The brush must also be placed at a 45° angle to the teeth. It is ideal to watch the video that I am embedding below – How to brush properly with the innovative Splash Brush.
You can have the best toothbrush in the world and if you don’t know how to use it, it’s a waste of money and time. So I recommend investing a little time in the beginning to learn how to brush your teeth properly using a method that is suitable for the Splash Brush. In a short time you will learn how to use the brush properly and then you are a winner. You will see for yourself that after using the Splash Brush manual toothbrush you do not feel the plaque compared to the feelings after using commercially available brushes.
The Bass method is very similar and is considered one of the best methods of brushing teeth today. So it makes perfect sense to me. Plus, enhanced by using an innovative toothbrush that will help it even more. That’s just great.
Splash Brush Cleaning Instructions – Very Important!
It is also very important that each toothbrush should be held lightly. The instructions for use of the Splash Brush also mention this. No need to press. Many people have problems with the fact that for many years they brush their teeth with too much pressure exerted by the brush on the gums. With the Splash Brush you don’t have to press – quite the opposite. Don’t press! It is very important. The bristles will take care of your teeth sufficiently. Here you can see some tips directly from the manufacturer – How to use the Splash Brush >
Place the toothbrush sideways. Always with the tip towards the gums.
The brush movements should be horizontal. In short saw-like movements. Like when you are cutting wood, but shorter movements (hence the short saw-like movements). Not in circular movements!

Comprehensive dental hygiene
We consider comprehensive dental hygiene to be brushing your teeth twice a day with a small, narrow toothbrush in combination with the use of interdental brushes (or dental floss). If you also use interdental brushes, you are tens of percent more likely to avoid tooth decay.
But you don’t always have the opportunity to brush your teeth with a toothbrush or interdental brush during the day. At that moment, you can also reach for healthy chewing gums that are free of plastic materials and completely free of harmful chemicals . You can have them with you whenever you have something sweet with sugar, acid or coloring – chew after coffee, lemonade, wine, after any sweet. We consider chewing gum as additional dental hygiene, which can help you reduce the risk of tooth decay to an absolute minimum.
By chewing gum, you activate miraculous saliva , which is the best natural mouthwash you can have for FREE and without side effects. With saliva and chewing gum with Xylitol, you clean your teeth, gums and oral cavity from sugars, acids and dyes. This can help you reduce tooth decay by up to 40%.
Warning / Note
I would like to point out that this article is based solely on my own experience and opinion. I am not forcing my opinion on anyone, but I stand by it. It is up to each of us to choose our own toothbrush or approach to cleaning our teeth and gums/interdental spaces. Supporting this incredible toothbrush is not an advertisement and no one has suggested that I support it. It is definitely not a paid advertisement. Creating this article is just my choice. This product is amazing in my opinion. I wanted to draw your attention to something similar on the market. I will be happy for even one customer who decides to try the new generation toothbrush based on this article. Who then even finds out for himself that the results are very interesting and that he cleans pleasantly with this toothbrush and lives with a smile.
